"Music Boards" is an interactive installation created in close collaboration with architect and designer Martina Schlusnus. It is both, a musical and visual piece that could be read as an embodiment of musical notation translated into architecture, where different sounds, rhythms, and timbres are shaped into pieces of varying size and materials, activated by a metal ball. "Music Boards" is an interactive musical instrument that invites visitors to play with it. The tiny sounds gain strength through the means of amplification and analog guitar pedals. The pre-composed scores can easily be varied by throwing multiple balls or playing more than one board at once.
